After the failed May 6 referendum, the Town Council voted to decrease the education budget by $150,000 and the capital amount by $25,000. The Board of Education met on May 20, 2008, to discuss budget options and voted for a new budget amount of $23,211,439 a 4.23% increase over 2007-2008.
The next Town Budget Referendum is set for Tuesday, June 3, 2008.
