Dr. Leighton completed his BA in physics at Clark University and both his MS and EdD at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has had a distinguished career in education including positions as a science teacher, science department chair, 6-12 academic dean and senior research associate for a national education development center.  Most recently, Dr. Leighton served as a science teacher and department chair at Windsor High School.
