CNHMS BAND

Any 5th grade student who has taken an instrument in the intermediate school and has continued throughout the year may join the 6th grade band.

The CNHMS has a 6th, 7th and 8th grade band.  In addition to these groups we also have a 7th and 8th grade Jazz Band (by audition).

The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade bands have 2 concerts each year.  One concert is in December and one is in May.  There is also an solo and small ensembles recital held in March.  This is voluntary but highly encouraged.

In early November, students have the opportunity to audition for Eastern Regionals which is an honors band for middle school musicians.  Registration for the auditions occurs in September and if selected, the Eastern Region Music Festival is held annually in March.
