    My career in education began when I worked as an Early Childhood Educator teaching in a variety of early childhood programs including the Federal Head Start Program.  I began working for the Coventry Public School System in 1989 when I was hired to teach first grade at the Coventry Grammar School.   I was asked to teach second grade the following year and then I graduated to teach third grade.  I have been joyfully teaching third grade for the past sixteen years.
