I believe students should have a sense of ownership in their learning. They deserve to learn and succeed in an environment that fosters independence, creativity, and learning through experience. As an educator, I also believe in teaching through a variety of mediums to better serve each type of learning style. An environment built upon trust between the teacher and the students encourages risk taking and learning by doing. Families play an essential role in a child’s learning and development. Therefore I establish a home-school relationship so each family will feel comfortable communicating with me for the benefit of their child. I set high, yet attainable expectations for all my students and make the learning environment an exciting and wonderful place where all are safe.
