Initiative Achievement
The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) has recommended that the district develop a plan for the creation of a Fitness Center. The completion is targeted for the 2025-2026 school year. This project has been carefully designed with input from a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure it meets both the current and future needs of students.
The new Fitness Center will serve as a valuable resource for student-athletes by providing a dedicated space for training and conditioning. Beyond athletics, it will be integrated into the Health and Physical Education curriculum, ensuring all students have access to resources that promote lifelong health and well-being. This initiative reflects the district’s ongoing commitment to enhancing physical education and fostering a culture of health and fitness throughout the school community.
The Board’s support of this plan is greatly appreciated, as the successful completion of this project is essential in preparation for the upcoming NEASC visit in 2028.
