Coventry High School continued its efforts to recruit and support international students as part of the district’s commitment to expanding diversity and providing opportunities for students to engage with peers from different cultural backgrounds. This year, Coventry High School welcomed two international students, one from Italy and one from China.

School leadership met individually with each student upon arrival to introduce them to the school community, highlight available opportunities, and address any initial questions or needs. Throughout the year, the principal maintained regular check-ins with both students to monitor their academic and social adjustment and to encourage active participation in school life.

Both students have successfully integrated into the Coventry High School community. One student was a member of the school’s state championship volleyball team, while the other plans to participate on the track team this spring. Academically and socially, both students have adapted well and have reported positive experiences with their teachers and peers.

The presence of international students continues to enrich the educational environment at the high school by fostering cultural exchange and broadening students’ global perspectives.
