Initiative Achievement

During the summer of 2025, district administration conducted a comprehensive review of the Business Office structure to improve efficiency, clarify responsibilities, and better align roles with district needs. To assess workload distribution and identify inconsistencies, this process began with a detailed audit of all tasks and responsibilities performed by finance staff.

The review revealed that existing positions functioned largely as generalist roles and were not consistently aligned with comparable positions in other school districts. In response, the district initiated a transition to a more strategic, skill based model, resulting in the development of revised job descriptions that more accurately reflect specialized responsibilities and required expertise. Market analysis informed corresponding salary adjustments to ensure competitiveness and equity.

This work was conducted through ongoing collaboration with Business Office staff and representatives from the secretaries’ union, ensuring transparency, stakeholder input, and alignment throughout the process. The result is a more clearly defined and sustainable organizational structure that strengthens operational effectiveness and supports the recruitment and retention of high quality personnel.
