9-12 Curriculum
Coventry High School offers a wide range of courses and diverse pathways for learning, providing outstanding educational opportunities and meeting the needs and interests of our students. Our academic program includes core courses as well as electives in English, mathematics, science, social studies, world languages, career and technical education, computer science, art, music, health, and physical education.
Through Advanced Placement courses and dual enrollment courses with the University of Connecticut, Middlesex Community College, Eastern Connecticut State University, Goodwin University, and the University of Bridgeport, students have many opportunities to earn college credits at Coventry High School. We offer Advanced Placement courses in English Literature, English Language, Biology, Environmental Science, Physics, Calculus, Chemistry, Statistics, U.S. History, Art History, European History, Psychology, Modern World History, Music Theory, Seminar and Research. Dual enrollment courses are available through English 12, Calculus, Statistics, Discrete Math, U. S. History, French, Accounting, and Medical Terminology. Through Coventry Public School’s partnership with Goodwin University, students may attend partial days at Goodwin and earn college credit in Manufacturing and Technical Drawing through the Early College Advanced Manufacturing Pathway. Virtual High School, available to all students through the Coventry High School program provides online high school course work in topics not offered at CHS.
