Capt. Nathan Hale Middle School (CNH) grade 8 students, Mia Alderucci and Emma Cwalina, were awarded the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) outstanding scholar-leader award. CAS recognizes two students from each middle school in Connecticut who have distinguished themselves in scholarship and leadership in their school and community. Both Mia and Emma have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, good citizenship, responsibility, and integrity. They are members 
of the Future Problem Solvers Program (FPS), as well as the CNH Track & Field Team. CAS established the Scholar-Leader Banquet in 1985 to give public recognition to all the middle level student recipients of this prestigious award across Connecticut. Both students attended the banquet on Monday, June 5, at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT.
