Coventry Families,

Recently, Coventry was very pleased to host national award-winning and local author/illustrator Ms. Barbara McClintock. Ms. McClintock, from nearby Windham, has nearly 50 children's books published as both author and illustrator and her books have been honored 5 times as New York Times Best Illustrated Children's Books. This opportunity was made available through a grant provided by the Connecticut Reading Association. During her visit, Ms. McClintock met with students at both the Coventry Grammar School and the G. H. Robertson School (GHR). She also met with parents one evening during a literacy event at GHR. This visit is the topic of our next Education Spotlight Video.
