Coventry High School’s Coach Bill Vanderrest Named 2025 Boys Track & Field Coach of the Year

Coventry High School (CHS) is proud to announce that Coach Bill Vanderrest has been named the 2025 Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association (CHSCA). This prestigious award honors outstanding career accomplishments, a deep commitment to student-athletes, and long-standing service to Outdoor Track & Field in Connecticut.

Coach Vanderrest was formally recognized at the CHSCA Track and Field All-State Banquet held at the Aquaturf Club in Southington on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

This spring marked Coach Vanderrest’s 25th season as the head coach of the CHS boys and girls outdoor track and field teams. Throughout his distinguished career, he has consistently demonstrated excellence in coaching, mentorship, and leadership, positively impacting generations of student-athletes.
