On Monday, March 2, the Coventry High School (CHS) girls basketball team captured the North Central Connecticut Conference (NCCC) Tournament Championship with a hard-fought 64–46 victory over Suffield High School at Windsor Locks.

The championship marks the second NCCC tournament title in program history, following last year’s historic win in 2025. With back-to-back tournament championships, the Patriots continue to build on an outstanding tradition of excellence.

In addition to their tournament success, the team secured the 2026 NCCC regular season championship, finishing with an impressive 18–2 record. Their strong performance throughout the season has earned them the number two seed in the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) Division III Girls Basketball Tournament, which begins Monday, March 9.
