Coventry High School has been ranked the #42 best public high school in the State of Connecticut according to the prestigious U. S. News and World Best High Schools Ranking for 2023-2024. Out of almost 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia, Coventry High School is ranked #1,996 putting it in the top 8% of best high schools in the United States. Schools are 
ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college.

The highest ranked U.S. public schools in U.S. News & World Report's 2023-2024 Best High Schools Rankings are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math, reading and science state 
assessments, earned qualifying scores in an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions. At Coventry High School, 55% of students took at least one Advanced Placement Exam and 44% passed at least one Advanced Placement Exam. Coventry High School boasts a 98% graduation rate.
