Capt. Nathan Hale Middle School (CNH) students were accepted and performed in the Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA) annual Eastern Region Middle School (ERMS) Music Festival concert on Sunday, March 5, 2023. This year, seven CNH students participated: Maggie Coffey (Jazz Band, lead tenor saxophone), Reese Coffey (Jazz Band, lead trombone), Makayla Cosgrove (Concert Band, clarinet), Megan Cyr (Concert Band, flute), Robert DeCarlo (Orchestra, percussion), Maya Michel (Jazz Band, piano), and Chloe Shearer (Jazz Band, alto saxophone).

Each year, middle school students from around Connecticut have the opportunity to audition for honors festivals that take place in conjunction with the CMEA annual ERMS Music Festival. The 2023 ERMS Music Festival was held at the RHAM Middle/High School in Hebron, CT.
