Coventry Public Schools Bands and Choirs Shine at Fantastic Festivals

On Friday, May 22, students from the Capt. Nathan Hale School (CNH) Grade 8 Band and Choir and the Coventry High School (CHS) Band and Choir participated in the Fantastic Festivals competition at Middletown High School.
The choirs performed for adjudicators, received valuable feedback, and participated in a clinic led by Dr. Carolina Flores. The bands likewise performed, received adjudicator comments, and worked with Dr. Justin McManus during an educational clinic.
The ensembles earned the following ratings:

  • CHS Band — Gold Rating
  • CHS Choir — Gold Rating
  • CNH Band — Silver Rating
  • CNH Choir — Silver Rating

These achievements reflect the students’ hard work, dedication, and commitment to musical excellence throughout the school year.
Following their performances and clinics, students celebrated their accomplishments with an afternoon of fun at Lake Compounce.
Congratulations to all the student musicians and their directors on a successful and rewarding festival experience.
