On Saturday, May 3, 2025, students from Coventry Public Schools proudly participated in the Connecticut Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Make Something Festival, a statewide celebration of collaborative music-making.
Led by Coventry music educators Madison Adams (G.H. Robertson School) and Jessica Dalrymple (Capt. Nathan Hale Middle School), students joined peers from across Connecticut for a day of vocal workshops and rehearsals under the direction of renowned clinicians Sophia Miller, Adam Podd, and Matt Podd.
Students explored a diverse and powerful musical program, rehearsing and performing pieces including:
- “Yonder Come Day”
- “I Shall Be Released”
- “Over My Head I Hear Music in the Air” (arranged by Adam and Matt Podd)
- “Alleluia Incantation” (by Adam Miller)
