Local Students Participate in Connecticut Music Educators Association Elementary Honors Festival
Several students from the district were selected to participate in the Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA) Elementary Honors Festival, held on February 27, at the University of Bridgeport. The festival featured talented student musicians in grades 5 and 6 from across the state.
Students had the opportunity to rehearse and perform as part of the Elementary Honors Band and Elementary Honors Choir under the direction of distinguished music educators.
The Elementary Honors Band was conducted by Rachel Antonnuchi, Director of Bands at Canton High School.

The Elementary Honors Choir was conducted by Jon Noyes, Music Director and Founder of the Fairfield County Children’s Choir.

Participation in the Elementary Honors Festival is a significant achievement, recognizing students for their musical ability, dedication, and commitment to music education. The district congratulates these students for representing their schools and community with excellence.
