Families of the Class of 2025,
I am sure you have been watching the weather forecast for Saturday in regard to our Graduation Ceremony. For a few days now, possible rain showers have been forecasted. I have been in touch with our meteorologist and the outlook is not promising. At this point, we are concerned we may need to hold the ceremony inside. Understanding the significance of this community event, and in an effort
to accommodate as many family members and friends as possible, the decision regarding the location of the ceremony will be held off until Friday. As you can imagine, we are hopeful the weather forecast will improve in the coming days.
Once the decision is made Friday regarding the location, parents and community members will be informed in the following ways:
● Parents of CHS seniors will receive an email from Coventry Public Schools.
● Information will be posted on the district’s website: www.coventrypublicschools.org
● The CHS outside road sign will be updated with the location.
I also wanted to remind families of the following:
● Each graduate will receive six (6) tickets to be used in the Veterans Auditorium if the ceremony needs to be moved inside.
● There will be space in the Library Media Center for viewing the broadcast.
● Graduation will be live streamed on the Coventry Public Schools Live YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@CoventryPublicSchools/streams Or the streaming link found here: https://youtube.com/live/vbnvzvx8mXk?feature=share
We appreciate your patience as we plan around this weather challenge.
Best,
David
