The Hale Early Education Center (HEEC), a nationally accredited preschool program within Coventry Public Schools, is now accepting registrations for the 2026-2027 school year. Openings are currently available in both part-day and school-day preschool programs for eligible children ages 2-5.

Children are eligible to enroll if they meet the following age requirements:

• Children who are currently age 2 must turn 3 before January 1, 2027.
• Eligible 5-year-olds include children who turn 5 between September 1 and December 31, 2026.

HEEC provides high-quality early childhood education programs that support the cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development of young children. Through developmentally appropriate learning experiences, children develop foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and creative arts while building the confidence and independence needed for future academic success.

Program options include:

• 5-Day Part-Day AM Program (8:30am-11:00am)
• 5-Day Part-Day PM Program (12:00pm-2:30pm)
• 5-Day School-Day Program (8:30am-2:30pm)
• Before Care - Opens at 7:00am
• After Care - Closes at 4:00pm

HEEC is proud to be fully accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), reflecting its commitment to excellence in early childhood education.

Financial assistance is available for qualifying families and eligibility is based on family income and family size. Families are encouraged to inquire, as assistance may be available to make preschool more affordable.

Examples of qualifying gross annual household income include:

• Family size of 1-3: Less than $91,886
• Family size of 4: less than $109,389
• Family size of 5: less than $126,891

Families interested in reserving a space for their child are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Enrollment is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, and spaces are currently available.
