Lutz Extended Day program
Coventry schools have partnered with the Lutz Children’s Museum. To offer Extended Day Programming for Early Release Days for grades K-5. There are currently three “staff development” early release days scheduled for this school year:
• December 9, February 3, and March 10.
This optional parent-paid program will be offered on those days and will run from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. Programs will be provided on site by instructors from the Lutz Children’s Museum and will relate to the Animal Kingdom, Wildlife Illustration and Art of Pop-up and will be customized according to grade levels K-2 and 3-5. The cost is $30 per student, per session. Parents will need to plan to pick up their children at 3:00 p.m. The sign up form is attached as a PDF. Parent Technology Session - Google Apps
We invite you to join us at the CNH/CHS Library Media Center on Tuesday, December 6th from 6:00 – 7:00 PM for an informational session on Google Apps. Google Apps is a suite of applications available through our district educational Google license that provides access to a suite of programs for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and more. During this time, we will provide an overview of each of the programs and answer any questions you may have. We will also have some devices available for you to preview the different applications.
If you are unable to attend in person, but would like to hear more about this tool, please complete the form (linked here) to provide your contact information. Once received, a link will be sent so that you can attend the presentation remotely through Google Meet during the day/time listed above.

The GHR Student Council and Kindness Squad have each adopted a family in partnership with Coventry Human Services. Please consider donating to help our local families. The requested items can be found on the two Sign Up Genius forms below. All items should be brought to GHR by Friday, December 9th. Many thanks!

2) Food Drive to Benefit DCF: Girl Scouts will be collecting items to benefit the Department of Children and Families. Donations will be collected at the GHR Office by Monday, December 12nd. The following items are looking to be collected: winter gear, daily clothes, pajamas, baby wipes, diapers, baby clothing, dental hygiene products, hair products.
3) Food Drive to benefit Coventry Food Bank and Coventry Human
Services: Girl Scouts will be making Meal-in-a-bag packages for the Coventry Food Bank. Donations will be collected at the GHR Office by Friday, December 2nd. The following items are looking to be collected: canned tuna, canned peas, egg noodles, cream of mushroom or celery soup, bread crumbs, cereal, oatmeal, coffee/tea, canned fruit, applesauce, breakfast biscuits, muffin/pancake mix.
Students and Staff of Coventry Schools are invited to wear their PJs to school In honor of kids at CCMC. Thousands of children each year spend days, weeks, or longer In PJs at the hospital while receiving care. PJ Day for the Kids will show our support for these brave kids! Coventry Craft Fair
Our biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up and we’d like to ask for your help! GHR PTO is responsible for setting up and selling tickets at Coventry’s Craft and Vendor Fair on Saturday, December 3. We are also responsible for providing breakfast for the crafters, therefore monetary donations would be greatly appreciated. Proceeds from this event benefit the PTO groups in each of Coventry’s schools.
