Scholastic Art Awards 2025

Congratulations to the Coventry High School (CHS) students who have won awards in the esteemed Connecticut Regional Scholastic Arts Competition.

Freshman Ava Kiss won the Gold Key Award for her photograph "Silent Watcher, " Sophomore Brooke Belsito won the Silver Key Award for her mixed media drawing titled "My Best Friend Star." Honorable Mentions were awarded to Freshman Rowynn Myshrall for her photograph "Alone in the Woods," Senior Eva Strycharz for her photographs "Eternal Anguish" and “Gossip”, and Junior Clara Anderson for her illustration "Something Fishy in the Seafood Aisle."

Their work is on display at the Silpe Gallery located at the Hartford Art School from January 13- February 1, 2025.

The Connecticut Regional Scholastic Arts Award is a high quality, professionally juried event, which recognizes only the best Connecticut student artwork. All Connecticut art students in public, parochial, and private schools are invited to participate. Student artwork is juried by professional artists and university art faculty and is selected on merit for inclusion in this 
state- wide art exhibition. Beyond the honor of being selected for this high-quality exhibit, students may be awarded Gold or Silver Keys and Honorable Mention Awards in each of eighteen media categories.
