Concert Band

Full symphonic band instrumentation including nearly every student enrolled in instrumental music at CHS. Performs standard works for wind band as well as contemporary works of the repertoire. 4 concerts per year, meets in sections during school day, full rehearsal Thursday nights.

Jazz Ensemble

Standard Big Band instrumentation performing a wide range of jazz repertoire including blues and swing standards, latin music, funk and rock. The full ensemble meets 4 days a week as part of the school day. Students enrolled in this ensemble are encouraged (though not required) to participate in the Concert Band.

Percussion Ensemble

Approximately 15 students at a time are members of the percussion ensemble which meets 4 days a week as part of the school day. A variety of percussion ensemble repertoire is explored including traditional works ranging to the extremely avant garde. Students enrolled in this ensemble are encouraged (though not required) to participate in the Concert Band.

Pep Band

The CHS "Green Machine" Pep Band performs at all Home Football Games. All students are welcome and traditionally about 75 students bring in the noise under lights on Friday nights.

Pit for the Spring Musical

As needed, student musicians perform in the pit for the annual spring musical in March.

Chamber Ensembles

Student lead, small ensembles give students the opportunity to select repertoire, rehearse, and perform repertoire designed for ensembles ranging from 2-8 performers.

Marching Band

The CHS Patriot Marching Band performs in the town Memorial Day Parade
