Students at CNH study various combinations of reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, art, music, technology education, family and consumer science, computers, health, world language, and physical education. The program of study concentrates on the mastery of basic skills in these areas:

Students in all grades (6, 7, and 8) take the following courses of study:

English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and French, Spanish (7th & 8th Grades only) or Chinese.

In grade six, students also take the following related arts and other classes:

Band, Chorus, Physical Education, Art, Technology Education, Digital Citizenship, Health, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Family Consumer Science, Chinese and Developmental Guidance.

In grade seven, students take the following related arts classes:

Band, Chorus, Music Studies, Physical Education, Art, FCS, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

In grade eight, students take the following related arts classes:

Band, Chorus, Music Studies, Physical Education, Art, Technology Education, and Health.
