The Coventry High School (CHS) Boys Golf team ended another outstanding season with a second-place finish at the 2026 Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) Division III State Championship held on Monday, June 8, at Ellington Ridge Country Club. Competing against a field of 17 schools, the Patriots earned the state runner-up title following last year's historic championship season.
The impressive finish comes one year after the program captured its first-ever CIAC State Championship in 2025, further solidifying Coventry’s place among the top golf programs in the state.
The Patriots concluded the 2026 season with an overall record of 16-4 and a 7-2 mark in NCCC play. The team also claimed the NCCC Conference Championship, winning the conference tournament held at Twin Hills Country Club on June 1.
The success of the season reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by the student-athletes and coaching staff throughout the year.
Congratulations to the CHS Boys Golf team and coaches on an exceptional season and another outstanding achievement in program history.
