Dear CGS Families,

Thank you for bringing so much incredible energy and excitement to today’s Meet and Greet! Seeing all those smiling faces confirmed what we already knew: we are going to have a fantastic first day of school tomorrow.

To help ensure a smooth, safe, and positive start for everyone, please review the following reminders for tomorrow:

  • Bus Transportation:

    • Patience & Grace:

Please extend extra patience to our bus drivers as they learn new routes, stops, and timing during these first few days.

    • Bus Expectations:

Take a moment tonight to review safe and expected bus behavior with your child.

    • Establish Routines:

We strongly encourage you to have your child use their standard, typical mode of transportation right from Day 1 to help them build confidence and get into their daily routine immediately.

  • School Hours & Attendance:

Tomorrow is a full day of school! Drop-off begins at 8:10 AM, and dismissal begins at 3:10 PM. Please utilize PickUp Patrol to report any absences or submit dismissal changes.

  • Meals, Snacks & Water:

Please send your student with a labeled, reusable water bottle and a healthy daily snack. School breakfast and lunch will be available starting tomorrow, or your child is welcome to bring a packed lunch from home.

  • Parking Lot Traffic Safety:

Please pay close attention and adhere strictly to our new flow of traffic in the parking lots to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families.

  • Kindergarten PTO Boohoo/Woohoo Breakfast:

Incoming Kindergarten parents and families are warmly invited to the gym from 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM for our PTO gathering!

And please share this message with your children tonight:

You are INCREDIBLE and we LOVED meeting/seeing you today! If you are feeling a mix of excitement and a few nervous butterflies tonight, that is completely normal - in fact, all the adults at CGS feel the exact same way! Get a great night's rest, wear your biggest smile, and know that every teacher and staff member in our school is bursting with excitement to welcome you back tomorrow morning. We are going to have an awesome first day together!

Warmly,

Jenn

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns! We know tomorrow is a big transition for everyone, even if it's just transitioning out of "summer mode"!
