Dear Grade 5 Families, 

We are excited to see everyone on Monday, June 15th for the Grade 5 promotion ceremony which begins at 10 am in the GHR Gymnasium for approximately one hour.  Please see the reminders below regarding the ceremony. 

Parking

The Promotion Ceremony will be held in the GHR gymnasium and parking assistance will be available due to limited parking available. 

Arrival

• Guests are welcome beginning at 9:30 a.m. with first-come first-served seating. Please be prepared to show I.D. 

• For safety purposes, we are not able to accommodate backpacks, large diaper bags and strollers. If at all possible, please consider leaving these items in your vehicle. 

• When you arrive, please check in at your student’s table by teacher name at the gym lobby entrance to confirm your student’s transportation. 

T-Shirts 

Grade 5 Promotion Ceremony T-Shirts will be distributed to students before the ceremony. This is to ensure, as tradition, that all students have their T-Shirts to wear during the promotion ceremony. 

Lunch

A bagged lunch will be offered to all students who have signed up for lunch that day. Forms went home this week in student backpacks. Students leaving after the promotion ceremony may take their lunch with them. 

Dismissal

If you plan on taking your student(s) with you when you leave please note that in PickUp Patrol as an “Early Dismissal” as soon as possible so the office may prepare. Staff will confirm at the check-in table. One parent/ guardian will be permitted to sign-out the student(s) with the classroom teacher. Siblings in grades 3 and/or 4 will be called down to the gym lobby at 11:15 a.m. Families are kindly encouraged to exit the parking lot immediately following the ceremony to accommodate regular dismissal at 11:40 a.m.
