We have had an amazing start to our school year! Here are our weekly updates.

Updates

Open House- 9/23/26  5:30-7:30 PM

Open House is an informative event organized to provide a brief orientation to your child’s classroom routine and grade level curriculum. This evening is a great time to ask questions and build positive home-school relationships.  Parking assistance will be provided to support this well-attended event. You are welcome to come anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Additionally, the Scholastic Book Fair will be in the gym.

Board of Education Regular Meeting Dates 2026

The Board of Education 2026 meeting dates are listed below. Meetings are open to the public and will also be live streamed through YouTube for convenient viewing. Meeting details and access links are available on our district website [HERE].

Reminder: Say Something

As a reminder, in alignment with Capt. Nathan Hale and Coventry High Schools, GHR has the “Say Something Anonymous Reporting System” (SS-ARS). This program teaches GHR team members and administrators how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, of individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and Say Something to a trusted adult OR use its anonymous reporting system. From Last Week

Reminder to complete your Annual PowerSchool Updates and Submit your Device Fee:

The Annual Update for students is now open for all students Pre-K through Grade 12. An Annual Update must be completed for all students enrolled. One optional form is the Bus Stop Release form if you wish to allow your child(ren) to be released off the bus without a parent present. This form does not be completed as an Annual Update. A page that includes links to help documents for annual update and fees can be found on the Annual Update, Fees and Bus Information page of our website.

Transportation Information- PickUp Patrol, Arrival, Dismissal & Bus Information

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, please review the important transportation information below and confirm or make any necessary changes to your student’s transportation plan.

PickUp Patrol – Confirm or Change Transportation

Please check your email for a Welcome Email from PickUp Patrol. Please register if you have not done so already. Need to change your student's PM transportation default plan? Please email: mahmadi@coventryct.org

Dismissal:

If you are picking up your child(ren), our afternoon dismissal will be a car line in our rear parking lot. Please remain in your vehicle. Dismissal begins at 3:10 p.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. We encourage parents to arrive no earlier than 3:00 p.m. and to wait at the designated pick-up sign. The adult picking up your child must be PowerSchool approved and must provide a driver’s license for identification purposes when prompted. You may add approved adults for pick-ups under "Contacts" in the Annual PowerSchool Update Forms. All pick-ups must be noted in PickUp Patrol.

Bus Transportation:

Please note that bus assignments, including detailed stops and pick-up/drop-off times, are available on the Coventry Public Schools website. If you have any questions regarding transportation, please contact the school office at 860-742-7341 or the Dattco Parent Line at 860-838-7351.
