Dream Big! Competition Offers $350,000 in Prizes for CT Students
The 2026 CHET Dream Big! Competition invites Connecticut students in grades K–12 to share their dreams or ideas for helping their communities through an essay, video, or artwork, with more than $350,000 in CHET 529 college savings contributions available to student winners. In addition, 10 Connecticut schools with participating students will have the chance to win $5,000 technology prizes. The deadline for submissions is November 6. MORE

Bus Stop Release Form and Annual PowerSchool Updates:
As students are getting older, you may wish for them to get off the bus without a parent present. If so, you can fill out the optional Bus Stop Release Form in the PowerSchool Portal. This form must be filled out each year—it does not transfer over from year-to-year. A page that includes links to help documents for annual update and fees can be found on the Annual Update, Fees and Bus Information page of our website.

Open House- 9/23/26 5:30-7:30 PM
Open House is an informative event organized to provide a brief orientation to your child’s classroom routine and grade level curriculum. This evening is a great time to ask questions and build positive home-school relationships. Parking assistance will be provided to support this well-attended event. You are welcome to come anytime between 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Additionally, the Scholastic Book Fair will be in the gym.

Free Breakfast this year!
Along with a great education, Coventry is proud to provide healthy and delicious meals each day to support their learning and growth. Breakfast and lunch are offered daily at every school. Students can choose from hot and cold entrées, fresh fruits, vegetables, juice, and milk. To make a complete meal, students must select at least three items, including one fruit or vegetable. A variety of à la carte healthy food Smart snacks—such as baked chips, water, juice, and ice cream—are also available for purchase. Snacks can be purchased with cash or must have a positive account balance. Milk is included with meals or may be purchased separately for $0.75. For this school year 26-27 - Breakfast for all at NO COST, reduced eligibility students have no cost for lunch.
To make meal payments simple, we offer the free School Café Family Hub Mobile app and website (family.schoolcafe.com). Cash and checks are always accepted as well, remaining change is automatically added to the student’s account.

Welles Candles: ✨Come for the Open House, stay for the scents! Stop by and smell our hand-poured, all-natural soy candle samples. They're clean-burning, amazing-smelling, and Welle’s House gives back too. 40% of every purchase goes directly to our PTO. That's a fundraiser that really makes cents!
GLOW Party: Get ready to glow crazy! Join us on 10/16 from 6-8 PM for a night of glowing fun, dancing, and family memories. Wear your brightest colors or favorite white outfit and light up the dance floor! 💃🕺 Flyers have been sent home with students. Scholastic Book Fair: 📚 Don't judge a book by its cover... come find your next favorite one at the Scholastic Book Fair in the gym during Open House! We're also looking for a few volunteers to help keep the pages turning. Please use the Sign up Genius below:
SPIKE Mascot: 💚Got spirit? Spike does too! We're in need of a volunteer to help bring the magic to Spike on Spirit Day. Join the fun and help make it a roaring success on 9/25 from 8-8:35am
